D1, a premiere athletic training facility in Brighton MI, is seeking personal trainers/group fitness instructors who are passionate about supporting youth and adults in achieving their fitness goals. The individual will join an energetic, collaborative team of fitness professionals dedicated to bringing a motivating, world-class athletic experience to members. This position is primarily responsible for coaching group fitness classes and personal training sessions. This is a part time, in-person position, and work hours are flexible. 

D1 is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up with a mission of providing the best fitness philosophy and facility to its athletes, empowering them to improve themselves by efficiently and consistently reaching their fitness goals. D1 is passionate about impacting and changing lives. Our culture of service to others separates us and drives us to provide the optimal experience for all members.

D1 Coaches implement and instill the D1 training philosophy into every workout. They exhibit the ability to adapt and customize programs in the workouts in order to tailor them to each athlete. They take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining regular contact and monitoring their individual progress toward their goals. D1 Coaches are a part of the best training environment in the industry and are integral to the success of D1 as it continues its rapid growth.

Job Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
  • Coach group fitness classes, personal training, and team-based training (15-20 hours/week)
    • Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
    • Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
  • A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members, Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
    • Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
    • Starting and finishing workouts on time
    • Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
    • Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
    • Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
    • Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
Qualifications
  • Valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification
  • At least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA.
  • Minimum of 1 year of strength & conditioning-related experience in group, team, or personal training setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred).
