Performs those duties required to disassemble, clean, set up, and adjust the packaging machinery and equipment and maintain the mechanical operation of the line in a productive manner.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Run the following lines: 2, 6, and 9A, if trained.

•Ability to learn in set-ups of machinery and/or equipment, fine tune the line with minimal adjustments required by lead mechanics.

•Ability to set up, train, run and troubleshoot the use of serialization equipment and software.

•Meet or exceed the established production standards for the assigned line the majority of the time.

•Perform all required documentation as specified in the SOP's: i.e. equipment set-up sheet, packaging data sheet, mechanic's daily sheet and equipment log books.

•Initiate minor/major repairs and adjustments on machinery and/or equipment •Dismantle, clean, cover, and put away parts and/or equipment as necessary. •Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct mechanical problems with occasional assistance of lead mechanic.

•Supply packaging machines with proper materials required for continuous operation and observes the process for quality and quantity of production.

•Review equipment manuals periodically and participate in continuous improvement projects and other methods of improving productivity.

•Perform duties in accordance with applicable CGMPs, SOPs, and safety rules.

•Perform all duties mindful of personal and fellow associates' safety.

•Display a positive team attitude and assist other associates when the opportunity arises.

•Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

•Ability to be trained as stand in for line servicer or packager as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

•High school diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology or related major.

•Formal mechanical training or applicable experience.

•Demonstrated high level of mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting /diagnostic skills.

•Ability to read and comprehend specifications as outlined in cGMP’s and SOP’s as well as blueprints, equipment manuals, and schematic drawings.

•Ability to work in a team environment.

•Ability to work shift work and overtime.

•Pass visual acuity test.

•Operate powered industrial trucks

•Experience in Lockout/Tagout

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical problems to make necessary adjustments and/or repairs.

•Must have the ability to recognize opportunities for packaging machine improvements.

•Responsible to see that machinery to run Packaging Line is kept in repair and properly maintained to avoid breakdowns and delays in the cycle time.

•Assists Production Department in meeting goals developed in the Site Strategic Plans by meeting daily production schedules.
