Position Overview:

Join the dynamic team at YouYu, a vibrant noodle bar located within the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Bristol. We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience featuring a diverse menu inspired by Asian cuisine. The incumbent will lead all back-of-house operations for our fast-paced Asian kitchen. This role is responsible for menu execution, team leadership, food quality, and maintaining health and safety standards.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes. 
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation. 
  • Collaborate on menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with health and safety regulations. 
  • Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Oversee cost control.
  • Hire, train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster a strong team environment and uphold culinary excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 5 years as a chef or cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably with Asian cuisine. 
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. 
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative dishes. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively under pressure. 
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
