Job Description:

 

 

L3 Harris is currently hiring for a Sr Specialist, Program Finance. Within this role, you will work in a team environment as well as independently. You will be responsible for analyzing data, generating financial reports, conducting root cause variance analysis, and providing guidance and outlook on the financial status of your programs to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and internal senior leadership.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Act as the project controls analyst - responsible for set up and activation of assigned projects, service orders and production work order support in ERP system.
  • Monitor and analyze program costs, perform financial analysis for labor, material, subcontract and ODC estimates against budget and forecast.
  • Prepare Estimates at Completion (EAC) for direct charge programs by working with cross functional IPT.
  • Support major programs including Cost Plus, with contractual Earned Value (EVMS) reporting requirements.
  • Preparation of EV deliverables, variance analysis for both internal management and customer.
  • Provide audit support as needed.
  • Provide inputs for the monthly, quarterly and annual sales and cash forecasting process. 
  • Perform variance analysis to forecasted results (EAC, Sales, Profit and Cash), identifying specific drivers of deviations from estimates. 
  • Review weekly labor/material charges and perform necessary cost transfers.
  • Prepare backup costing support for Fixed Price, Cost Plus and T&M monthly customer billings.
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience with the defense work sector. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work ad-hoc requests on short notice.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) is a plus.
  • Experience using LN, COBRA, Hyperiosn, web reports/queries and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with multiple contract types (CPFF, CPIF, FPIF, FFP, T&M etc.) is desired.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
