Job Summary:

Draws necessary materials from stock, prepares materials if necessary and furnishes materials to the operators within the department. Assists the supervisor in increasing line efficiency by ensuring that materials are in place promptly, assisting in the training of new employees, managing orders through the line in proper sequence and working on the production line on occasion to assist in breaking material banks or operating key machines during operator breaks.

Job Location:

Vishay Dale Electronics, East Windsor, CT is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 40 employees currently working in East Windsor. 

What you will be doing:

  • Understands all processes and specifications within the department and reports to supervisor any discrepancies in line specifications.
  • Surveys material needs of production line, schedules the withdrawal of necessary materials from stock, prepares materials for manufacturing if necessary and furnishes materials to department operators as needed.
  • Moves in-process products from one workstation to another.
  • Runs queries on the computer to determine manufacturing priorities.  Must learn to use in-house developed software.

What you will bring along:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three months to one year experience required. 
  • Initial hazardous waste management procedures (RCRA) training within six months of the appointment of position dealing with hazardous waste and subsequent annual refresher thereafter.
  • Initial emergency contingency plan implementation training within six months of the appointment of position dealing with hazardous waste and subsequent annual refresher thereafter.
