Skillforce is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians and Mechanics for work in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, be comfortable performing physically demanding work, and be willing to work on rooftops and at heights. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the skills necessary to perform HVAC and mechanical work effectively.

PAY AND SCHEDULE:

Pay: Starts at $32 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours guaranteed, Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues and execute repairs.
  • Install new HVAC systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with facility managers regarding system status and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines during all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and maintain occupant comfort.
