Position Summary: The Site Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing daily operations of the aerosol production facility in Blue Island, Illinois. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations while achieving production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. The Site Supervisor provides site-level leadership across production, maintenance, and warehouse activities and drives continuous improvement across people, processes, and equipment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary and lead communicator from the site to other network sites as well as company leadership. 
  2. Lead, supervise, and develop production personnel; assign work, monitor performance, and provide coaching and corrective action as needed.
  3. Create and maintain training program for site, including deliver hands-on training of employees in production processes. 
  4. Ensure daily production targets, efficiency metrics, and operational KPIs are achieved and sustained.
  5. Provide hands-on floor leadership and real-time direction to production employees.
  6. Coordinate with Maintenance to schedule and execute preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.
  7. Ensure all products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  8. Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and departmental documentation.
  9. Approve and manage timekeeping and payroll-related documentation for assigned employees.
  10. Ensure the safe handling, storage, and use of flammable propellants and pressurized components in accordance with applicable fire codes, Company safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  11. Participate in workforce planning, staffing recommendations, and hiring activities.
  12. Ensure compliance with Company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and all regulatory requirements.
  13. Promote a culture of safety; enforce safety standards and conduct investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up on workplace incidents.
  14. Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  15. Perform other duties consistent with the nature and scope of the position.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; aerosol, chemical, or personal care manufacturing experience preferred.
  2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently under broad operational guidelines.
  4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide both strategic direction and direct floor-level supervision.
  5. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills; capable of conflict resolution and employee relations management.
  7. Experience in employee selection, performance management, discipline, and termination processes.
  8. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  9. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe manufacturing practices, including those applicable to flammable and pressurized materials.
  10. Ability to perform moderate physical activity and spend extended periods on the production floor.
  11. Proficiency with standard office and computer equipment.
  12. Familiarity with safety and storage standards applicable to aerosol manufacturing (e.g., NFPA 30B) preferred.
  13. Flexibility to work extended hours as operational needs require.

  Working Conditions:

  1. Continuous exposure to manufacturing environment including noise, moving machinery, temperature variation, and production materials, including flammable propellants and pressurized containers.
  2. Regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting consistent with production floor activity.
