Youth Residential Supervisor

UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago is seeking a motivated and experienced Youth Residential Supervisor to lead operations within therapeutic youth group homes. This role ensures a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment while promoting independence, life skills, and community integration for youth in care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Maintain a consistent leadership presence in assigned residential homes
  • Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and behavior supports
  • Monitor compliance, documentation, and data collection requirements
  • Support crisis response, safety practices, and youth well‑being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and agency leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • At least 1 years of full‑time experience in a residential childcare program
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field
    OR
    5 years of supervised experience in a congregate care setting
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License with proof of insurance
  • Ability to obtain or maintain First Aid, CPR, Safety Cares, and medication administration certifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide physical assistance and interventions when necessary

Schedule & Position Details

  • Salaried, full‑time position
  • Flexible schedule including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
  • Extended work hours and occasional Saturdays may be required to support agency programming and home visits
  • On‑call availability as needed
