Position: Electrical Service Technician
Location: Brockport, NY
Type: Full-time, non-exempt, reporting to the Service Manager
We are currently experiencing significant growth and are looking to add you to our team. We are seeking an experienced electrical service technician to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and wiring systems on customer projects.
This role works in residential, commercial, and industrial settings in accordance with NEC/NFPA 70E standards and job specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following skills:
- Electrical service troubleshooting and repair
- Electrical installation, including panels, circuit breakers, conduit, wiring, fixtures, and new services
- Testing and monitoring electrical equipment for hazards, adjustment, or replacement
- Industrial controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers
- Reading blueprints, electrical drawings, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications
- Planning work and guiding helpers, apprentices, and journey-workers

Compensation: $30 to $45 per hour with a performance review after 30 days.

Schedule:
Full-time schedule; overtime, early starts, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational or technical training in electrical and/or industrial maintenance and repair required; NYS Apprenticeship Training preferred.
- Minimum three years of job-related experience.
- Reliable transportation and a valid New York State driver’s license free from major infractions.
- Preferred safety training includes OSHA 10 or 30-hour, NFPA 70E, and Lockout/Tagout.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and safe work practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, vendors, and customers; demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Computer and tablet proficiency, including word processing, data entry, and routine reports.
- Ability to travel up to two hours from home and work with an apprentice.
- Ability to work safely from ladders and in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, and to meet the role’s physical demands, including lifting and moving up to 80 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
