CSI Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, NYSE traded company is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist performs all machining operations required to produce finished products. Work from blueprints, specifications, job layouts, and written and/or oral instructions for the successful set-up and operation of CNC machines, dimensional inspection, data collection, and paperwork completion under limited supervision. This is a 1st Shift Position Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. Overtime as necessary on Fridays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed drawing
Monitors and adjusts schedule to respond to internal production requirements
Troubleshoot parts and machine problems
Coordinate with other departments to achieve company needs, work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to ensure parts meet design intent.
Manage daily activities of machine shop personnel and related equipment.
Responsible for all of CSI’s tooling design and maintenance which includes New Product Development and Production tooling.
Responsible for the overall talent management of the machine shop department including interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Responsible for enforcing company policies of conduct and safety and initiates disciplinary action when necessary
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Extensive experience in operating and programming CNC machines
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Expertise in using precision measuring instruments and gauges
Ability to perform complex machining operations on a variety of materials
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing work environment
Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Solidworks & Esprit programming software
Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:

Five (5) years related experience, Hands-on experience through apprenticeships or on-the-job training is essential while proficient in CNC technology and metalworking. Post-secondary certificates or associate degrees in machining or manufacturing are preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
