OVERVIEW:
Ram Machine Products, LLC. (RMP) is an American manufacturer that exists to deliver cost effective, quality products that meet or exceed the schedule demands of its customers. RMP specializes in the design, production, and supply of “Access Plugs” or “Shoulder Plugs” for Air Cooled Heat Exchangers. These plugs are critical construction and repair components of heat transfer equipment found in refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants, power plants, and other industrial processing and commercial facilities throughout the world.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking as a Shop Helper at Ram Machine Products, a reliable and hardworking Machine Shop Helper to support daily operations in a manufacturing environment. This role assists machinists and production staff by preparing materials, operating basic equipment, and performing secondary finishing tasks to ensure high-quality manufactured parts.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist machinists and production personnel with setup and general shop support
- Perform secondary operations such as stamping, drilling, grinding, and cutting
- Use manual cutters and grinders to finish and prepare parts to specifications
- Handle and move materials, parts, and finished goods throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support other departments as needed to meet production goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- High School diploma or GED.
Work Experience
- Experience in industrial manufacturing and CNC environment
Skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred
- Ability to operate basic shop equipment such as drills, grinders, and manual cutting tools
- Forklift experience required or preferred (certification a plus)
- Shipping and receiving experience are a plus
- Ability to read basic work instructions and follow directions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with shop safety practices
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a hot, and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Must be able and willing to work the required overtime as per company sales demands.
- Must be open to work some weekends based on sales demands.
