Birch Agency is seeking Spanish Teachers to join our team!
The Middle School Spanish Teacher introduces students to the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. The teacher creates engaging, age-appropriate lessons that build foundational skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while fostering confidence and enthusiasm for language learning.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with school and state standards.
Teach basic vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversational Spanish.
Incorporate cultural elements from Spanish-speaking countries into lessons.
Use interactive and student-centered teaching methods (games, songs, group activities, and multimedia).
Assess student progress through quizzes, oral exercises, projects, and assignments.
Differentiate instruction to meet varying learning styles and abilities.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Maintain classroom management and appropriate student behavior.
Communicate student progress with parents/guardians and school staff.
Collaborate with other teachers and participate in school activities and meetings.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Spanish
Valid NY teaching certification/licensure for middle school education.
