Description

A pest control technician requires both intellectual and physical skill sets. They will inspect properties for pests and once identified they will use either pesticides or manual methods to eliminate unwanted guests such as rodents, roaches, bed bugs, or any other pest. They will also use problem solving skills and make recommendations to the customer to prevent future pest problems. Our main customers require service inside units and outside of their buildings, which makes it a physical job. If you are up for the challenge, come join our team!


Pest Control Technician Job Description:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of a pest control route.
  • Follow a daily route schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each stop. (A company vehicle is provided for work purposes when applicable.)
  • Complete all daily service orders accurately.
  • Understand and apply all training materials and communications.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Utilize in-depth training provided to decide on the most efficient pest solution for their customer's needs.
  • Complete all required service-related paperwork/reports.
  • Diagnose and discuss the scope of pest control service with customers.
  • Ensure personnel training and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Present a well-groomed, consistent and professional personal appearance in accordance with employee handbook standards.
  • Exercise good time management.

Requirements

Pest Control Technician Qualifications:

  • High School education or GED preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good driving record
  • Must be able to provide quality service on a timely basis to all customers on route
  • Have demonstrated knowledge and ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve customer service problems
