As an Director of ProcessEngineering, you will set the strategy of process engineering, keep talented team stable and efficient, monitor the activities of advanced cell manufacturing process(Electrode, Assembly and Formation) control, parameter setting, trouble-shooting, DOE implementation, Cpk improvement, continuous optimization and upgrading of existed line, documentation preparation, deal with urgent quality issue, critical process defects in production line, get involved in new process/equipment development, layout planning, capacity balancing, FAT, production ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have opportunities to access to latest cell manufacturing process technologies around the world and shape the innovative cell solutions for meeting TTI’s high power output and energy storage requirements for a variety of products.

  • Set competitive, proactive strategies of company cell manufacturing process.

  • Cultivate process team and coach key team members to maintain a robust and professional output.

  • Organize the team to solve process issues, create collaborative, deep thinking atmosphere, work together with correspondent departments.

  • Enhance team member’s quality and cost mindset through actual cases, use statistical approach to coach team and improve output.

  • Keep daily confirmation of process status, prevent potential failures, and continuously reduce loss and defect.

  • Study advanced technology in the industry, continuously optimize and upgrade current process. Work with R&D and equipment together to develop more reliable and efficient process, which can meet our new process requirements, make sure company’s process technology can catch up with the leading tiers.

  • Provide constructive suggestions to equipment team to better evaluate equipment structure, floor layout and capacity balance when doing equipment selection.

  • Effectively communicate the ideas and results both internally and externally, make sure each level can get exact, precise message.

  • Monitor process related projects status, provide updates, deliver reports/presentations regarding the current and future development activities, and make recommendations.

  • Identify the patentable inventions and generate IPs.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in science or engineering (Machinery, Automation, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering are preferred).

  • 15+ year experience with process engineering.

  • Knowledge of cylindrical cell manufacturing process/equipment technologies is preferred.

  • Deep-in knowledge of cell process, modification and continuous optimization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity and attention to details.

  • Must be fluent in English and Chinese.
