Your Role on Our Team:

As a part of the Product Safety team, the Technical Publications department creates the operator’s manuals, on-product labels, and service literature needed to obtain certifications and ensure the end-user fully understands how to use Milwaukee products safely and effectively.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Write and layout concise, highly structured instructions of low to medium complexity, directed toward a specific audience

  • Maintain electronic files for domestic and international product literature, including, but not limited to, manuals, on-product labels, service parts lists, service wiring diagrams, repair manuals, service instructions, and calibration manuals

  • Research and organize technical data, working closely with Engineering, Service, Regulatory, Safety, Liability, and international and domestic Marketing Departments

  • Document changes to existing literature or the release of new literature

  • Maintain Technical Publications databases used by internal and external customers

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Recognizes the importance of priorities and meeting deadlines

  • Ability to work in teams and as an individual contributor in a global environment

  • Ability to stay on schedule and react quickly to priority changes

  • Basic understanding of how you impact projects and company goals

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent: Areas of study include Journalism, Science Writing, English, Technical Communication, Graphic Arts

  • Technical background/Strong mechanical aptitude

  • General knowledge of proper power tool use and safety

  • Software skills in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator required

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Experience in CAD programs

  • Understanding of programs such as Corel Draw, TeamCenter, NX (UG), and ERP systems
