You'll lead and mentor staff, ensure quality care and regulatory compliance, and help create a safe, supportive environment where individuals can thrive and achieve greater independence. This role is ideal for a strong leader who enjoys building teams, solving problems, and helping others reach their full potential. What You'll Do Leadership & Staff Development Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate Assistant Residence Managers and Direct Support Professionals Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on person-centered care Coordinate and lead staff meetings and program-related trainings Ensure employees have the skills and resources needed to provide exceptional support Program Oversight Manage the day-to-day operations of the residence Ensure compliance with OPWDD and agency regulations Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment Coordinate annual and interim planning meetings Individual Support & Advocacy Ensure each individual receives quality care tailored to their goals and needs Monitor implementation of service plans and personal outcomes Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and advocates Support individuals in achieving greater independence and community inclusion Health, Safety & Compliance Oversee medication administration and medical follow-up Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents Manage participant funds, personal allowances, and financial records Provide direct support when needed and participate in the on-call rotation Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of related experience Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1-year licensed driving experience Preferred AMAP Certification SCIP Certification CPR and First Aid Certification Outstanding Benefits We value our team members and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical and Dental Insurance Free, Company Sponsored Base Life Insurance Generous Vacation, Sick, and Personal Time Paid Holidays 403(b) Retirement Plan Pension Plan Paid Training and Certifications (AMAP, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, Defensive Driving) Tuition Assistance Voluntary AFLAC Benefits Career Advancement Opportunities Build a Career That Matters At UCP Long Island, your leadership helps create opportunities, build independence, and improve lives.
