Commercial Roofing Mechanic
A-1 Roofing & Siding | Long Island / Tri-State Area | Full-Time, Year-Round
A-1 Roofing & Siding is a second-generation, family-owned roofing and siding contractor serving the tri-state area. We're a growing company looking to add experienced commercial roofing mechanics to our crews - people who know their way around a membrane roof and take pride in doing the detail work right.
What You'll Do
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems, including single-ply (TPO, PVC, EPDM), modified bitumen, built-up roofing (BUR), and metal roofing
- Read and follow roof plans and manufacturer specifications
- Handle detail work: flashing, drains, curbs, penetrations, terminations
- Work safely at height, following OSHA fall-protection standards
- Work as part of a crew across commercial job sites throughout the tri-state area
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a commercial roofing mechanic (we'll consider strong residential or general construction backgrounds for training)
- Working knowledge of at least one major commercial roofing system
- OSHA 10/30 or fall-protection certification a plus
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ready for physically demanding work - long days, heavy lifting, and being on your feet
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

Pay
Based on experience and role:

| Apprentice | $22.00 – $25.00/hr |
| Jr. Mechanic | $25.00 – $30.00/hr |
| Mechanic | $30.00 – $45.00/hr |
| Foreman | $45.00 – $70.00/hr |
