CCLI is looking for a Part-time Kitchen Supervisor with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.”

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist with daily meal preparation and service activities as well as performing various cleaning related tasks.
  • Train, supervise, and assist orienting volunteers, kitchen aides, and students to standards, policies and procedures of the kitchen.
  • Confirm food is received, stored, prepared and served according to temperature and food safety guidelines.
  • Monitor, inventory and receive food, supplies, and emergency meals and ensure that they are properly delivered and stored.
  • Communicate and document client feedback, service concerns, food delivery issues and meal related problems to Program Coordinator.
  • Register new clients and assist with completing required forms and consent paperwork. Collect client signatures for meal attendance and provide information regarding voluntary contributions as per SCOFA regulations.  Submit required paperwork to Program Coordinator on bi-weekly basis.
  • Prepare deposit slips, assist with counting of money and make bank deposits.



Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of six months previous related experience preferred.
  • Attend General Food Handlers course from Suffolk County Dept. of Health.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.



Schedule:

Part-time – 9 hours per week.



Rate of Pay: $19.50 per hour

 

This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
