Brookings Health System is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at our Long Term Care Facility, The Neighborhoods at Brookview!

Compensation range for this PRN position is $22.42 to $33.19, depending on experience.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides skilled support under the direction of a Physical Therapist (PT) to help individuals improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising PT.

• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and functional mobility activities.

• Monitor the individual’s progress and report outcomes to the supervising PT.

• Educate individuals, families, and caregivers on exercise and safety.

• Assist in maintaining therapy equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

• Current state licensure – new graduates will be considered.

• CPR required or obtained within 60 days of employment.

• Possess a valid driving license and capable of being covered by insurance.
