A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE WORKER As a Maintenance Worker at River Oaks of Minnesota, you play a critical role in keeping our communities safe, operational, and welcoming. Your responsibilities include: Performing general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting Completing routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and grounds Responding promptly to maintenance requests and work orders Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and life safety standards Maintaining fire safety systems, emergency lighting, and equipment Performing preventative maintenance to avoid disruptions in service Assisting with apartment turnovers, preparing units for new residents Maintaining grounds, including snow removal and lawn care as needed Coordinating with vendors and contractors when necessary Keeping accurate maintenance logs and documentation You’ll go home each day knowing you played a key role in providing a safe and comfortable home for residents and supporting the team behind the scenes.  QualificationsRequired: High school diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Strong time management and organizational skills Preferred: Previous maintenance experience in assisted living, healthcare, or multi-family housing Experience with preventative maintenance programs Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes Valid driver’s license
