Position Overview:

This position manages our large parts inventory to include receiving materials, managing materials inventory, and material transfers to other branches. This position performs cycle counts, manages parts re-ordering, purchase parts as necessary, creates and full fills customer parts orders, and manage the parts inventory in Minneapolis. 

Principle Duties:

  • Manages Minneapolis- Tioga, Ameri-Cool, and MAPR perpetual inventory.
  • Manages receiving process to include: opening boxes and inspects contents of shipments, checks packing slip to ensure all items are accounted for matches packing slips with purchase orders, dispersing parts or putting parts into inventory as required, documents receipt results discrepancies as needed, and transacts receiving of parts into INFOR (inventory system).
  • Supports customer parts orders to include generating parts order from customer request, full filling parts order, packaging parts order, placing P.O.’s for specialty parts not in inventory, and transacting parts order in INFOR.        
  • Documents defective or incorrect items; supports Purchasing Manager in the return process.
  • Manages perpetual inventory to include; putting materials away, cycle-counting perpetual inventory, ensuring that inventory is accurate, stocking levels are maintained, and stockroom is organized.  Does visual review and inventory and assists is P.O. creation to place orders for replenishment.
  • Manages the part transfer process that supports repairs of equipment in MAPR branches and in the field.  This includes managing to parts requests with buyers, processing part transfers requests for materials, doing all system transactions to support transfer in INFOR, and ships materials to another location (including UPS shipping).        
  • Manages cycle count process to include performing cycle counting, working with controller to support any discrepancies found in the cycle counting, and manages annual yearend inventory process of parts. 
  • Supports production builds through pulling Bill of Material purchase parts and issues them to production order.
  • Any other duties assigned. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Inventory Management and receiving materials in a warehouse or Manufacturing environment.
  • High School degree or equivalent. 
  • Able to lift 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds consistently. 
  • Must have 3 years of demonstrated experience in an ERP system in purchasing or inventory management modules, preferably in INFOR.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills; communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Is capable of operating forklifts and other equipment to move heavy shipments.
  • Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse and factory safety procedures.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft office products to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
