Position Summary

The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Laboratory staff and workflow to meet Customer and Regulatory requirements. This position will supervise the Bioburden Department. 

What You'll Do as a Laboratory Supervisor

  • Supervises workflow and technical staff in execution of Laboratory testing, in support of regulatory and quality system compliance to meet Customer specifications. 50-70%
  • Mentors and develops staff for future opportunities 10-20%
  • Provides regular feedback to staff on performance. 5%
  • Ensures purchasing of laboratory supplies meets departmental needs and approves purchase requisitions. 5%
  • Identifies operational opportunities for improvement to efficiency, quality and/or cost. 5% - 10%
  • Participates in the interview process for open positions, makes recommendations for hiring. 1- 5%
  • Evaluates procedures and executes Document Change Orders. 1- 5%
  • Initiates and executes Quality System Investigations, Customer Dissatisfactions and Corrective actions as required by procedure. 5% 

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Laboratory
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role

Pay range for this opportunity is $74,000 - $77,000 depending on experience and skillset. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
