What You'll Do

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our injection molded products throughout the manufacturing process.

Inspection & Metrology

  • Perform detailed visual, tactile, and dimensional inspections of molded components and assemblies
  • Verify product conformity against engineering drawings, CAD models, customer specifications, and quality standards
  • Set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex geometries
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Height gauges
    • Pin gauges
    • Optical comparators
  • Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements to ensure dimensional compliance

Production Support & Quality Control

  • Conduct first-piece inspections and monitor in-process production runs
  • Identify dimensional drift, cosmetic defects, and out-of-specification conditions
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality concerns and improve processes
  • Segregate and document non-conforming materials
  • Create and support Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Recommend improvements to inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate inspection records in accordance with ISO 13485 requirements
  • Support internal and external audit readiness
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles

Team & Safety

  • Promote a strong safety culture and follow all PPE requirements
  • Assist with First Article Inspections (FAI), capability studies, gauge R&R activities, and other quality initiatives
  • Partner closely with production and quality leadership to achieve operational goals

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Medical Device, Aerospace, Automotive, or similar highly regulated industries preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality processes and inspection techniques
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as IQMS/DelmiaWorks or similar systems
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
  • Experience supporting ISO 13485 quality systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and inspect products throughout the manufacturing floor
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while performing inspections and data entry
  • Must possess strong visual acuity, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
  • Ability to use computers and ERP software for documentation and reporting
