General Role Description
Supervise assembly operations to ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality and safety standards
Role Accountabilities
-Â Â Â Implement, manage, and monitor assembly processes to maintain efficient and reliable production operations
-Â Â Â Plan work schedules and manage employee hours, reallocating staff as needed to sustain production line continuity
-Â Â Â Identify factors that may impact on-time productivity and notify the manager promptly to mitigate delays
-Â Â Â Interview and evaluate candidates to select qualified personnel for assembly positions
-Â Â Â Assess skill levels and coordinate training to maintain a capable and effective assembly team
-Â Â Â Verify tools and equipment calibration requirements are met according to established schedules
-Â Â Â Investigate part discrepancies and coordinate resolution to prevent production interruptions
-Â Â Â Provide temporary coverage for absent team members to maintain production continuity
-Â Â Â Investigate and address quality non-conformances, notifying quality control and/or quality assurance
-Â Â Â Issue work orders, schematics, specifications, and instructions to team leads
-Â Â Â Troubleshoot assembly issues and resolve, escalating to manager as necessary
-Â Â Â Identify and report production constraints related to equipment, staffing, or capacity to the manager
-Â Â Â Conduct random inspections of assembly lines to verify adherence to established processes and procedures
-Â Â Â Monitor work areas for unsafe practices, equipment issues, and PPE compliance and address concerns promptly
-Â Â Â Verify daily completion of 6S standards to maintain organized and efficient work areas

- -Â Â High school diploma or equivalent
- -  2 years’ experience in a supervisory or lead role
- -Â Â Demonstrated working knowledge of manufacturing operations and production processes
- -Â Â Proficiency using hand tools and power tools
- -Â Â Demonstrated success leading teams to accomplish business goals
- -Â Â Strong problem-solving skills
- -Â Â Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
- -Â Â Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- -Â Â Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
- -Â Â Proficiency working with an ERP system
- -Â Â Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- -Â Â Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
- -Â Â Availability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 5%, sometimes with limited notice
Preferred Qualifications
-     Associate’s degree in manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field
-Â Â Â Â Â 4 years' experience in a supervisory or lead role
-Â Â Â Â Â 2 years' power electronics manufacturing experience
-Â Â Â Â Â Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
-Â Â Â Â Â Proficiency working with an ERP system
-Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks and inspections in a production environment
-Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated experience working in a business with foreign ownership, preferably Japanese
-Â Â Â Â Â Proficiency working with Oracle
