The Manager of Nursing Services is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nursing department within a healthcare facility. They provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensure adherence to policies and procedures, manage budgets and resources, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Additionally, they may be involved in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff, as well as strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives.

- Assisting the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily operations of nursing unit or department
- Providing guidance and support to nursing staff, including mentoring and coaching
- Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Participating in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff
- Assisting with staff scheduling and ensuring adequate coverage
- Nurse Leader rounding on both patients and team members
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Monitoring patient outcomes and participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Serving as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical questions and concerns
- Handling patient and family complaints or issues, and resolving conflicts as needed
- Assisting with staff education and training programs
- Participating in meetings, committees and other hospital initiatives as required
- Keeping informed of current trends, research, and best practices in nursing management and healthcare deliver
- Risk Management reporting
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing
Experience:
- 2 years of experience as an RN
