     Adara Living is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting a safe and healthy environment for all staff and visitors. This position requires knowledge of State regulations and OSHA standards, cleaning protocols, and experience in environmental services, particularly in a healthcare or commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation and environmental standards.
- Implement cleaning protocols and procedures to maintain high levels of cleanliness across all areas.
- Oversee housekeeping staff, providing training on best practices for cleaning, floor care, and waste disposal.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop effective cleaning schedules that minimize disruption while ensuring thorough sanitation.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Respond to any environmental concerns or incidents promptly, ensuring proper reporting and resolution.
- Assist in the development of policies related to environmental services and custodial operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in environmental services or custodial roles, preferably within a hospital or commercial cleaning environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices related to cleaning and sanitation.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment.
- Ability to lead and direct a team.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow established protocols consistently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
