ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Manufacturing Technician II at Biofire, you will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our advanced Smart Gun. We are looking for someone who can independently execute assembly processes, identify and support troubleshooting of technical issues within production and manufacturing, and contribute to improvements that enhance productivity and product quality as we continue to scale our manufacturing organization.
To succeed, you will need to consistently execute quality production, demonstrate strong mechanical and assembly aptitude, and be a strong contributor to continuous improvement efforts and manufacturing projects. You will need to be an adaptable, hands-on production specialist who can recognize production challenges, communicate findings effectively, and collaborate with technicians, engineers, and leadership to help solve problems and improve our manufacturing processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:
Manufacturing and Production Execution: Independently perform established assembly and manufacturing processes while consistently meeting production, quality, safety, and scheduling expectations;
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and support troubleshooting of manufacturing and assembly issues by collecting relevant information, analyzing problems, and communicating findings to appropriate technical partners;
Quality Assurance: Follow established quality procedures, identify defects or process deviations, and support efforts to ensure products meet quality standards and requirements;
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve production methods, workflow, SWIs, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency, and support implementation of approved improvements;
Training and Team Contribution: Support training of less-experienced technicians within areas of demonstrated proficiency and share technical knowledge and best practices to improve team performance and consistency.
QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, production, mechanical assembly, or a comparable hands-on technical environment;
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools, assembly tools, manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and/or jigs;
Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, contribute to troubleshooting and root cause activities, and communicate findings clearly;
Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement principles and methodologies;
Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently meet established quality, safety, and productivity standards;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;
Experience working in a safety-critical or highly controlled manufacturing environment such as firearms, medical device, automotive, aerospace, or a comparable industry.

The compensation range for this role is $30.00 - $40.00/hour + stock options + benefits.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. LOCATION AND HOURS
This is a full-time, hourly role that will require you to be on-site. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver.
This position will require overtime work to meet project deadlines. The ability to work beyond regular hours, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
