Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for infrastructure delivery within cross-functional project teams. Build and validate high-availability environments across Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware platforms. Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Backup & Replication. Administer and support Active Directory environments across internal and client-facing deployments. Collaborate with OT, SCADA, engineering, and project teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with technical and operational requirements. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and system optimization. Support both internal infrastructure and customer deployments throughout the system lifecycle. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) PREFERRED 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience. Proven experience independently designing and deploying production infrastructure. Strong experience with Microsoft Hyper-V clustering. Strong experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi high-availability deployments. Strong experience with Backup & Replication. Strong experience with Active Directory administration and design. Ability to work on-site in Broomfield, CO 5 days per week. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Microsoft Hyper-V Build and configure 2-node Hyper-V clusters. Configure high-availability (HA) clustering. Integrate clusters with Active Directory. Configure and manage shared storage over iSCSI. Validate failover behavior and cluster health. VMware vSphere / ESXi Deploy and configure 2-node ESXi clusters. Configure high availability between hosts. Implement shared storage using iSCSI. Operate in environments not joined to Active Directory. Perform lifecycle management, patching, and failover validation. Backup & Replication Design and implement backup strategies for virtualized environments. Configure backup jobs, retention policies, and recovery testing. Support disaster recovery and restore operations. Active Directory Administer and maintain enterprise Active Directory environments. Build, promote, and demote Domain Controllers. Design and support DNS architecture and DNS changes. Create, manage, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs). Support Active Directory Sites and Services. Work across both internal corporate infrastructure and client environments. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Experience with Scale Computing (HCI) or other hyper-converged platforms. General familiarity with Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025. General familiarity with storage concepts, including SAN/NAS and iSCSI tuning. General familiarity with networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, and firewall awareness. Experience supporting industrial, OT, or SCADA environments. Experience delivering infrastructure for remote or edge deployments. Familiarity with renewable energy or critical infrastructure environments.
