QMS and SMS Engineer

Pilatus is hiring a QMS and SMS Engineer to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS). Specifically, managing compliance documentation, supporting audit processes, and ensuring regulatory alignment with applicable standards and regulations. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops and manages comprehensive updates and maintenance of the QMS
• Oversees the Enterprise Risk Management System (ERM), the Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Ensures that all process documentation and manuals are up-to-date and compliant with the latest regulatory standards 14 CFR Part 43, Part 145, Part-21 (PMA), and EASA Part-21
• Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the QMS and makes necessary improvements
• Interfaces to Stans Quality Management System including alignment with the global quality team
• Conducts internal audits and manages associate follow-up actions
• Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the ERM and SMS and makes necessary improvements
• Leads improvements and safety issue corrective actions during their implementation

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

• B.S. in Aviation Safety or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the aviation or aerospace industry
• Training in Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

The salary range for this position is $72,685 - 98,125 per year depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
