IES Safety, LLC – Systems Division is seeking skilled and reliable Fire/Gas Detection & Suppression Inspections - Field Service Technicians to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will:

Install, maintain, and repair industrial and marine fire & gas detection systems
Perform installations, inspections, and testing aboard vessels
Troubleshoot system issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver reliable service

Qualifications:

Certification/diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Marine Technology, or related field (preferred)
Minimum 1 year of experience in marine fire detection or similar technical roles
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals/schematics
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Additional Details:

Domestic and international travel is required
Competitive pay (DOE) with potential for overtime and travel benefits

Physical Demands:

Must pass a UKOOA-type medical exam demonstrating Fit for Duty
Must meet the medical requirements to wear PPE required in the offshore oil & gas industry
Must pass a DOT drug screen
Frequently required to stand, walk, twist, balance, and stoop with good balance
Regularly required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds
Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds with one hand (or in a backpack) for at least 50 feet
Occasionally required to climb in and around equipment, stairs, and slanted ladders
Occasionally required to sit, kneel, and squat
Ability to hang from a rope swing for 8 seconds
Ability to hold breath for a minimum of 35 seconds (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and water survival training requirements)
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (Automobile, Boat, Airplane)
