POSITION SUMMARY
Â
Provide a safe and respectful work place for both customers and employees by monitoring internal, external theft and ensuring that company policies and procedures are being followed. Â Must have basic knowledge on Microsoft Word for accurate report writing. Â Good command presence and customer service skills. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patrolling the grocery store premises and identifying suspicious activity.
- Interact with store staff of all divisions.
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter.
- Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Maintain Professionalism and provide great Customer Service experience.
- Observe all signs of crime or disorder.
- Watch video cameras and operate surveillance equipment.
- Take accurate notes and report in detail any suspicious activities.
- Investigate any and all disturbances.
- Monitor and control access at building entrance.
- Immediate responsiveness to incidents/conflicts.
- Assist in removing transients from property.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS
Â
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Â Good interpersonal skills required.
- Knowledge of proper security procedures in a public relations/customer service atmosphere.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers, the public, and other law enforcement officials.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Ability to physically control disorderly patrons.
- Ability to work in an environment that contains excessive noise, stress, and smoke.
- Ability to work on a flexible shift schedule.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time (8 or more hours)
- Lifting requirements (50lbs or less).
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
