The Structural Engineer is responsible for identifying project requirements and providing a design that meets client expectations and works within manufacturing constraints. This individual shall work with a project team to develop / implement designs and details to ensure a complete and functional solution is attained. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting gaps in design whether internal or external to our organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Identify the technical scope of the projects assigned, project design criteria for appropriate for the code, location and specifications.

  • Select appropriate materials and attachment methods.

  • Develop analytical models of the structure using industry standard software platform(s).

  • Size members and design framing to meet project and code requirements.

  • Prepare reports and calculations for use in permitting and project reviews.

  • Provide technical expertise, advice and recommendations to project teams as needed.

  • Monitor and resolve fabrication and site issues as needed.

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in developing engineered products or deliverables.

  • Guide the layout & coordination of framing / supports within multiple disciplines.

  • Provide updates and guidance to project management on status and deliverables.

  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by EAS management, based on ability and training.
