We are seeking a collaborative and systems-oriented Integration Engineer to support cross-organizational and technical integration activities within an advanced Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) mission environment. This role focuses on aligning engineering, operational, and programmatic efforts across military Services, DoD agencies, and key stakeholders to enable coordinated delivery of integrated command and control (C2) and battle management capabilities. The ideal candidate will apply integration expertise to ensure system alignment, architectural compatibility, and mission effectiveness. This position plays a critical role in coordinating across functional lines and stakeholder organizations to advance system-of-systems integration and capability delivery.

 Duties:

  • Coordinate integration activities across multiple IAMD system stakeholders, including military Services, defense agencies, and system development teams.
  • Support the alignment of system interfaces, data flows, and architecture dependencies across a diverse set of IAMD, sensor, weapon, and C2 elements.
  • Collaborate with program engineers, test leads, and operational representatives to ensure end-to-end integration supports joint mission objectives.
  • Participate in architecture working groups, technical interchange meetings, and integration planning forums to track dependencies and resolve system-level issues.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of interface control documents (ICDs), data exchange specifications, and integration timelines.
  • Identify integration risks, gaps, and system dependencies, and coordinate mitigation strategies across Service, agency, and engineering interfaces.
  • Support the integration of simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) assets to validate coordinated functionality and interface alignment across systems.
  • Document and track integration issues, decisions, and action items in support of schedule alignment and technical readiness.
  • Assist with test planning and execution, ensuring integration scenarios reflect joint operational use cases and system interdependencies.
  • Provide regular technical updates and integration status briefings to program leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in system integration, systems engineering, or related technical roles supporting joint or multi-domain defense systems.
  • Direct experience integrating or supporting complex IAMD, sensor, weapon, or C2 systems in joint or multi-organizational environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate system-of-systems integration across Services, agencies, and program office teams.
  • Experience with interface control documents (ICDs), system interface specifications, and technical baselines.
  • Familiarity with data exchange architectures, message formats (e.g., Link 16, J-series, XML), and integration challenges associated with aligning independently developed C2 and battle management systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical integration issues across hardware, software, and networked systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in developing technical documentation, tracking integration issues, and briefing progress to leadership.
  • Must have a current driver's license.
  • Travel: 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
