Position Description:

Banner Defense is looking for a Senior ​Signature/Data Analyst to join our team! In this role you will support MDA Targets and Countermeasures program in solid fuel debris model development and validation, pre- and post-flight trajectory analysis, and on-site mission support.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel as required
  • Support the development, integration, analysis, and documentation of target analysis products for pre-mission and post-mission activities for all MDA Flight Tests
  • Plan test activities and provide recommendations for team assignments to support mission activities
  • Contribute to the development of Target Vehicle notional trajectories, flight scenarios, and debris scenes
  • Deploy for test missions and develop data analysis products such as Target Best Estimated Trajectory (BET), Target Quick-look Brief, and Target Launch Time within the required 24-hour (quick-look) timeframe, ensuring accuracy of data products
  • Participate in target development and test planning activities such as Target System Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Target and Test Readiness Reviews, providing analysis and recommendations
  • Prepare technical reports and/or briefings on various technical aspects of Flight Test Targets

Required Skills/Experience:

  • US Citizenship
  • Interim DoD Security Clearance
  • Master's degree and 12+ years' relevant experience OR: Bachelor's degree and 20+ years relevant experience with Department of Defense.
  • Experience in a minimum of 2 of the following areas: trajectory/kinematic simulation, EO/IR sensor exploitation, RF sensor exploitation, geodesy
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well alone and with a team

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or Physics highly desired
  • M.S. in Engineering or Physics
  • Active DoD Security Clearance desired.
  • Experience working independently and/or leading sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in use of Matlab, and TAOS software
  • Familiar with STK software
  • Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems or hypersonic weapons
