Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Snubber Technician II in our Huntsville, AL lab.  In this role, you will be responsible for performing tests and/or measurement tasks for the Nuclear Snubber department. Nuclear Snubber: Testing and rebuilding of snubber devices at nuclear power plants during outages. 

 

Salary: $72,800.00 - $93,600.00/yr DOE

 

Responsibilities

• Removal and Reinstallation - Removes and reinstalls snubbers• Perform Testing - Performs qualification, acceptance testing and RND testing for nuclear customers• Maintenance - Maintains and rebuilds snubbers• Under close supervision, able to complete basic technical and mechanical procedures including basic testing and maintenance on snubbers• Some interaction with clients• Able to assist with basic troubleshooting and basic interpretation and analysis of test results• Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing. Knowledge of Microsoft products• Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing. Knowledge of Microsoft products• Other - Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED. Technical Certification, AA or AS degree preferred• 0-3 Years of Experience• Mechanically inclined Individuals

• Must be 21 years of age 

• Able to travel for weeks at a time• Must have drivers license and reliable transportation
