About the Role:
The Saw Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately and efficiently operating saw machinery to cut raw materials to specified dimensions. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating saw machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in machine operation or manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CNC saws, table saws or automated cutting equipment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor saw machinery to cut materials according to specified measurements and blueprints.
- Set up saw equipment, including blade selection, alignment, and calibration to ensure accurate cuts.
- Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment to maintain optimal functionality and safety.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team promptly.
