CNC Lathe Machinist

What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce close-tolerance precision components

  • Operate CNC mills as needed (mill experience is a plus)

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

  • Make offsets and minor program edits to maintain quality and efficiency

  • Select tooling and optimize setups for repeatable production

  • Assist with fixturing and workholding solutions

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment

  • Maintain quality documentation and follow AS9100 quality standards

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience with a strong emphasis on lathes

  • Proven setup and operation experience

  • Ability to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances

  • Strong understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining fundamentals

  • A dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing quality work

  • Someone with the drive, determination, and dedication to continually improve their skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • CNC mill setup and operation experience

  • G-code editing

  • CAM experience (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar)

  • GD&T knowledge

  • Experience with Haas, Mazak, or Fanuc controls

  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience a plus, as this is the direction we're heading

  • Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent training
