About the Role

The Director of Infrastructure Delivery is a key role, strategically positioned to manage day-to-day operations and execute long-term planning of the company’s physical expansion to new markets. You will be the project executive responsible for the delivery of critical infrastructure required to support the company’s growth and operations.. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in EV charging and facility operations coupled with proven experience in vendor management and financial ownership.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the Infrastructure Delivery Function: Own infrastructure delivery across the portfolio, from pre-construction through commissioning, and operational launch. Lead and directly contribute to early-stage site design. Develop and train staff on creating site concepts and layouts that integrate EV charging equipment, electrical infrastructure, utility service, transformers and switchgear, vehicle circulation, parking, civil/site constraints, and facility operational requirements.

  • Engineering Knowledge: Apply strong electrical engineering knowledge to develop and evaluate load requirements, electrical single lines, equipment sizing, distribution concepts, and utility interconnection strategies. Translate operational requirements into technically viable designs that can be advanced by external engineering partners through detailed design and permitting.

  • Portfolio & Program Leadership: Oversee a portfolio of concurrent, multi-site infrastructure deployments across multiple markets. Establish portfolio priorities, allocate resources, identify systemic risks, and ensure projects achieve schedule, budget, safety, quality, and operational objectives.

  • Build a Scalable Delivery Organization: Develop the processes, standards, tools, and governance required to scale infrastructure deployment. Establish consistent project controls, stage gates, reporting, documentation, and escalation mechanisms across the Infrastructure Delivery function.

  • Construction & Contractor Oversight: Provide leadership and oversight of construction execution, including design coordination, permitting, zoning, procurement, contractor management, commissioning, and turnover. Ensure delivery strategies are appropriate for each market while maintaining consistent standards across the portfolio.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage, coach, and develop Infrastructure Delivery Managers. Build a high-performing team capable of operating autonomously while maintaining strong accountability and alignment with company priorities.

  • Contractor & Partner Management: Establish and manage relationships with general contractors, design-build partners, consultants, suppliers, and other delivery partners. Develop performance expectations and ensure partners consistently meet safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements.

  • Project Controls & Financial Management: Own project-level CapEx budgeting, forecasting, schedule performance, change management, and quality. Identify trends and variances early and drive corrective actions to maintain delivery commitments.

  • Strategic Planning & Expansion: Partner with Site Acquisition, Operations, Utilities, Finance, Network/IT, and other teams to translate expansion plans into executable infrastructure. Anticipate future capacity and infrastructure requirements and develop repeatable solutions that enable rapid market expansion.

  • Continuous Improvement: Use portfolio performance, lessons learned, and operational feedback to improve design standards, delivery models, contracting strategies, schedules, and cost efficiency. Build repeatable playbooks that improve speed and predictability as the organization scales.
