The Title Clerk supports dealership operations by processing vehicle title, registration, and related documentation accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable regulations and dealership procedures. If you are organized, a team-player, assertive, detail-oriented, and a leader, then this role might be in your future.    Job Description: Title & Registration Processing Process new and used vehicle title and registration documentation in accordance with dealership procedures and applicable state requirements. Prepare, review, and submit title applications, registrations, lien documentation, and related paperwork accurately and timely. Verify documentation accuracy and ensure required information, signatures, disclosures, and supporting documents are complete prior to submission. Submit legal transfer documentation to the Department of Motor Vehicles and applicable agencies. Maintain accurate records related to title processing, registrations, and vehicle transactions. Deal Processing & Financial Coordination Verify vehicle payoffs, lienholder information, funding status, and supporting documentation prior to title processing activities. Assist with preparing payoff checks for trade-ins and applicable vehicle transactions. Support dealer trade processing and preparation of Certificates of Origin as applicable. Assist with posting vehicle sales and purchases and maintaining operational documentation accuracy within dealership systems. Collaborate effectively with accounting, finance, sales, and dealership personnel regarding transaction processing and operational requirements. Operational Tracking & Compliance Maintain organized tracking systems for outstanding titles, missing documentation, title discrepancies, and unresolved processing issues. Monitor title status and provide updates to leadership regarding missing, delayed, or problem title activity. Assist with maintaining out-of-state title verification and processing requirements. Support dealership procedures related to warranties, extended service contracts, dealer tags, and related operational documentation as assigned. Stay informed regarding title regulations, dealership procedures, and compliance requirements impacting dealership operations. Administrative Support & Team Collaboration Maintain organized records, filing systems, and document retention practices. Assist with audits, reconciliations, reporting activities, and operational reviews as assigned. Support operational consistency and administrative accuracy throughout dealership processes. Collaborate effectively with dealership personnel to support workflow efficiency and organizational effectiveness. Assist with training support and process communication activities as assigned. Professional Standards Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong attendance record. Support organizational standards related to professionalism, confidentiality, and workplace conduct. Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of customer, financial, and operational information.
