Position Summary

As an Electrician within the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and machinery across the facility. Your expertise will be essential in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems to minimize downtime and support continuous production. You will work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex electrical issues, interpret technical schematics, and implement solutions that comply with safety standards and regulations. This role demands a proactive approach to building maintenance and the ability to work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machine performance. This position requires a person willing to perform a variety of tasks from day to day. From electrical work, building/property maintenance and driving our box truck to and from the warehouse. Willingness to travel within the US occasionally is a plus but not required. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, machine components, generators and air compressors to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform accurate installations and repairs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery and building systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely to access work areas and transport materials as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies during all tasks.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience working with electrical wiring, schematics, and blueprints in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and machine components.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely.
  • Ability to drive, load/unload box truck.
  • 5 years experience minimum

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with building maintenance and air compressor systems.
  • Knowledge of generator systems and industrial electrical safety standards.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting with exposure to preventive maintenance programs.
  • Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent workplace safety training.

Skills & Competencies

The required skills such as reading blueprints and schematics are essential for accurately interpreting electrical layouts and ensuring proper installation and repair of systems. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) allows you to troubleshoot and optimize automated machinery critical to manufacturing processes. Knowledge of generators, machine components, and air compressors supports your ability to maintain and repair diverse equipment, minimizing production interruptions. Forklift operation skills enable you to safely maneuver materials and access work areas efficiently. Building maintenance expertise ensures that electrical systems within the facility remain compliant with safety codes and function reliably, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $38.00-$40.00
  • Bonus eligibility, if applicable
