Machine Shop Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily machine shop activities to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
• Assign work, prioritize jobs, and monitor team performance and productivity.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machining equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ensure machined parts meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Support and train machinists on proper machining techniques, tooling, and safe work practices.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and report equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor tooling, materials, and shop supplies to support production needs.
• Enforce safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and proper use of PPE.
• Identify machining issues and support continuous improvement of processes, quality, and efficiency.
