About the Role:
The Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of commercial machinery, electrical systems across various facilities. This position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain system efficiency. The technician will perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan and ensure compliance with safety standards. Additionally, the role requires clear and accurate documentation of service activities, including routine reports and correspondence, to support operational transparency and continuous improvement. Ultimately, the Service Technician contributes to a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for clients by delivering high-quality technical service and maintenance solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, PLC and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of advanced diagnostic tools and software used in PLC and electrical troubleshooting.
- Additional experience in general facility maintenance preferred.
- Strong written communication skills for preparing detailed reports and client correspondence in a timely manner.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on systems to identify and resolve malfunctions promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on commercial  facility equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
- Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
- Write detailed routine reports and correspondence documenting service activities, findings, and recommendations for clients and management.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to schedule service visits, explain technical issues, and provide guidance on system operation and maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while performing service and maintenance duties.
- 50-100% travel, frequently requiring overnight stays.
- Travel both nationally and internationally may be required.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to obtain passport
