Job DetailsJob Location: BRYSON CITY, NC 28713Position Type: TemporarySalary Range: $15.00 HourlyDivision/Department: Food & Beverage Job Title: Event Bartender Reports To: F&B Management Type of position: Non Exempt / Hourly Employee Classification: Temporary Location: Bryson City, NC Compensation: $15.00 plus gratuities Job Summary: The Event Bartender is responsible for delivering an elevated beverage experience to first class passengers by preparing and serving a curated selection of specialty cocktails, premium wines, and spirits. This role combines expert mixology skills with exceptional customer service, ensuring each guest receives personalized, attentive, and efficient service. The Event Bartender maintains a polished, professional demeanor, upholds all safety and service standards, and contributes to a luxurious and memorable guest experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Checks with Manager on Duty (MOD) for daily numbers and objectives. Ensure that the service is, at all times, performed in a professional manner and to the style as specified by Food & Beverage Management. Responsible for entertaining and interacting with all passengers on board. Required to complete setup and supplies for bar service. Provide drink service, including bar service, during the excursion to the standard of food and beverage management. Comply with GSMR policy, procedures, and safety program including safety rules, operating rules, and participation in ongoing safety training/regular daily safety meetings. Adhere to company service standards, procedures, and policies; while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local, state, and federal health codes. Assist with clearing tables and seating areas within the cars, including but not limited to bussing tables and plates. Responsible for completing opening and closing side work and daily beautification. Assist guests with QR codes for alcohol menu and comment cards. Attend ABC and any other require training. Other duties assigned by Food & Beverage Management and/or GSMR senior management. Work Environment: Able to work long days which require prolonged standing and lifting of objects up to 25lbs. Exposure to all types of weather including temperatures 0 to 100 degrees, as well as rain, shine, or snow. On board a moving train. QualificationsEducation, Skill, and Work Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English. Must be self-motivated and disciplined. Must be at least 21 years of age to apply. Must be proficient in bartending. Minimum of one year customer service experience which includes cash handling. Good balance/equilibrium, walk on moving trains. Must possess organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while prioritizing workload with a practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work. Ability to communicate successfully with a variety of personalities and function effectively as a member of a team. Available to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to constantly improve and adapt to changes easily. Must have a professional appearance with good personal hygiene. Must pass a pre-employment background check. Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules.
