Job Summary

Join the NOC team as a Public Facilities Attendant in the beautiful Nantahala Gorge! In this role, you'll help create an exceptional first impression by keeping our public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff. Working as part of our Housekeeping team, you'll maintain public restrooms, common areas, offices, and other shared facilities throughout campus to ensure every visitor enjoys a clean and comfortable environment. This is a service-focused position where attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to cleanliness help create memorable guest experiences every day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and greet guests and staff with a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms, changing rooms, conference spaces, staff restrooms, offices, and other shared guest areas.
  • Restock restroom and facility supplies, including soap, paper products, and cleaning materials.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of building entrances, hallways, lobbies, patios, and other public spaces.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout campus.
  • Monitor public facilities throughout the day to ensure they remain clean, stocked, and guest-ready.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or repairs needed to the Housekeeping Manager or Repair & Maintenance team.
  • Assist with special event, conference, or group setup and cleanup as needed.
  • Work efficiently and independently to complete daily assignments while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Support other housekeeping or facilities projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and remain active throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
