Job Description:

The Procurement Intern supports the Purchasing/Procurement team in sourcing activities, supplier management, and operational purchasing tasks. This role is ideal for students interested in supply chain, business operations, or logistics who want hands‑on experience with real procurement processes. The intern will gain exposure to vendor negotiations, purchase order management, cost analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration.


This is an in-person position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with creating, tracking, and managing purchase orders.
  • Support supplier onboarding, communication, and documentation updates.
  • Help evaluate vendor quotes, pricing, and lead times to support sourcing decisions.
  • Conduct market research on materials, suppliers, and industry trends.
  • Analyze spend data and help identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Maintain procurement records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, engineering, etc.) to understand purchasing needs.
  • Assist with inventory monitoring and follow up on order status or delivery issues.
  • Provide general administrative support to the procurement team.


Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
