Pest Control - Start Technician

This position is on-site and reports to our Buffalo Grove, Illinois (60089) branch.

The Start Technician (Start Tech) is responsible for providing 5-star customer service to new customers, performing the first pest control application by applying chemicals and other manual solutions to eliminate pests. 

Please note: while applications will be reviewed and interviews may begin earlier, the official start date for this role is expected to be [2/23/2026]. Candidates must be available to begin employment on or shortly after that date.

Responsibilities: 

• Perform initial indoor and outdoor pest control applications for new customers, ensuring thoroughness and attention to detail. 

• Interact with customers to explain service features and benefits, providing exceptional customer service. 

• Follow scheduled routes, communicate with office staff and managers, and maintain accurate, organized records. 

• Maintain equipment, vehicle, and personal safety gear in good working condition, while utilizing technology to manage appointments and customer records. 

Qualifications: 

• 1+ years of customer service experience, preferred. 

• Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license, as driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role.  Driving record must meet the company’s insurance standards.    

• Earn and maintain state-required training and pest control licensing if applicable (provided). 

Required Availability:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Sunday: Off 

Pay 

• Weekly Pay – Get paid every Friday!
• This position offers an hourly base pay of $16.60/hr, with most team members earning between $2,500 - $3,500 monthly with additional compensation opportunities. 
• Per House Bonus Based on Performance.  
• Please note that actual earnings beyond base pay will vary, based on sales, and the estimated range is not a guarantee of wages.
