The Promotions Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing with the development, coordination, and implementation of all company promotional programs. Assist the Marketing Staff in all upcoming events, such as Special Events and Entertainment. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Assist Director of Marketing in all day-to-day activities, including answering phones, responding to customer complaints, editing advertising materials for accuracy, suggesting changes, organizing office files, and distributing fact sheets to executives, management, and promotions staff.

2.       Answer telephone, take detailed and accurate messages, and take initiative to resolve problems or provide requested information.

3.       Receive, open and distribute incoming mail as directed.  Research to find the appropriate information to answer or respond to mail and/or correspondence.

4.       Responsible for maintaining records of scheduling, evaluations, daily job tasks, attendance records and payroll for Promotions

5.       Provide input for future promotions.

6.       Provide assistance with setup and execution of all promotions, including slot tournaments, gift giveaways, scratch-offs, car giveaways, sweepstakes and drawings etc.

7.       Assist in setup and testing of new promotional software.

8.       Supervise promotions when Marketing Manager is unavailable.

9.       Fill in at the Social Club booth for breakage purposes and as required, act as a Marketing Shift Manager.

10.   Shall assist with scheduling and conducting interviews; suggest applicants to be hired.

11.   Review promotions based on response, customer comments, and incremental income.

12.   Use ACSC Computer System to review patron eligibility, patron status, and promotion outcomes.

13.   Assist in creation and assembly of memos, SGA submissions for upcoming promotions, promotional fact sheets, ProFormas, and purchasing check requests, advertising creative requests, database kiosk promotion requests, free slot play and system group requests.

14.   Maintain a regularly up to date record of purchases, parameters and requests that are in progress and regularly check in with Marketing Director to assure these items are completed in a timely manner.

15.   Maintain notes for weekly and monthly planning meetings and assure these meetings are scheduled according to the determined timeline

16.   Prepare meeting notes and agenda, have gift samples, print out current and past calendars according to the needs of the meeting.

17.   Develop data tracking as requested by the Marketing Director.

18.   Review internal property communication documents for promotions. i.e. Virtual Pocket Pal

19.   Update department documents with daily property handle numbers.

20.   Communicate regular promotional updates to team, property & tracking documents.

21.   Distribute property Marketing Calendar to the property distribution list in a timely manner. .

22.   Proofread promotional copy and creative, compile revisions from team, report changes and approvals back to advertising. reviews.

23.   Create and submit requests to the advertising department to ensure the proper advertising materials are created, printed, personalized and mailed in a timely and cost efficient manner.

24.   MMS SWS Data entry for Purchase Requisitions and BPO entries.

25.   Responsible to maintain absolute confidentiality and integrity with all written and oral information regarding tribal and casino operations, management and staff.

26.   Verify data prepared by the Database Marketing department to ensure accuracy of the Casino Player information, in the ACSC casino system.

27.   Assist the SBC, SAC and SNC Promotions department managers as needed.

28.   Assist with large scale marketing events such as, but not limited to Holiday Shopping Spree, 4th of July Fireworks and New Year’s Eve Gala at all Seneca Resorts & Casinos as needed.

29.   Cooperate with the Seneca Gaming Authority to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.

30.   Schedule meetings when directed. Ensure all participants are notified, equipment requirements identified and scheduled, and other amenities furnished as requested.

31.   Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.  Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.

32.   Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.  Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.

33.   Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

34.   Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.

35.   Attend all necessary meetings.

36.   Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.  Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education/Experience:

1.       Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.

2.       High school diploma or equivalent required.

3.       Associate’s degree in Marketing or 5 years Casino Marketing experience preferred.

4.       Marketing, promotions/events, or customer service experience required.  Casino experience required.

5.       Scheduling flexibility and dependability required.

6.       Must have good analytical skills.

7.       Must have proficient computer skills, typing forty (40) w.p.m.

1.       Must possess excellent communication skills.

2.       Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.

3.       Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

4.       Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.

5.       Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.

Salary Starting Rate:

$19.84

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
 

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
