Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Associate Engineer Software Quality located in Buffalo, NY. This position is fully on-site.

What you'll get to do:  

  • Supports software inspection, testing, verification, and validation.  

  • Implements and oversees software development and maintenance methods.  

  • Ensures reliability measures meet acceptable standards.  

  • Defines operating criteria to align the software quality program with project, process, and contract objectives.  

  • Guarantees project and process‑control documentation complies with requirements and contracts.  

  • Contributes to reviews of software designs, change specifications, and plans for contractual and process compliance.  

  • Evaluates applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.  

  • Verifies software requirement allocation, traceability, and testability. 

 

The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable of the software development lifecycle and methodologies, including Agile.

Basic Qualifications for the Associate Engineer Software Quality:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, CIS, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, CIS, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.

  • Experience with software quality processes, procedures, and related process‑control documentation, ensuring compliance.  

  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • Experience with Software Quality Assurance standards and best practices.

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $94,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
