Senior Accountant, Assurance – Real Estate and Construction

What You'll Do

Ready to bring your audit experience to a growing real estate and construction practice?

As a Senior Accountant on our national Assurance team, you'll lead audit engagements for real estate and construction clients, working closely with managers, audit staff, and other related parties throughout the engagement. Our Assurance Practice is recognized throughout the U.S. for its technical expertise, and we're looking for someone with a passion for client service who wants to grow in a people-first culture.

Audit Engagement Delivery

  • Lead audit engagements for real estate and construction companies
  • Prepare and review annual audit reports, acting as a direct liaison with managers, audit staff, and other related parties
  • Conduct audits and assist clients through the financial reporting process

Client Experience

  • Develop an understanding of each client's business and industry to anticipate needs and provide effective guidance
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the engagement, providing a high level of service

Team Leadership

  • Train and support audit staff accountants throughout the engagement

Who You Are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required
  • 2-5 years of progressive audit experience with a public accounting firm
  • CPA license, or actively working towards CPA designation, required
  • Experience with commercial and residential real estate
  • Experience with construction contractors and developers
  • Exposure to real estate related private funds

Preferred Experience

  • Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently, with little supervision, and within a team environment
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and maintain strong client relationships

Estimated Base Range: $70,000-$100,000

*Base compensation offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
