We develop, design, built and deliver equipment to major OEMs, EPC’s, and plant owners world-wide.

 

The CAD Designer/Drafter, Silencers, will be an additional member of the growing Silencer Engineering team. This department is tasked with creating models and drawings of our custom-made industrial silencers. The main goal is to create clear, complete and accurate drawings for customers and fabricators. The candidate will develop project-specific designs from our engineering datasheets, create drawings, review drawings of others, and provide support to the Engineering team.

 

This position collaborates closely with the Sales, Project Management and Quality departments within the company.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

 

• Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings of our products based upon Engineering Datasheets received from Application Engineering

• Create Bill of Material lists for fabrication

• Use engineering knowledge/methodology and creativity to solve problems that may arise that are outside of our standards

• Assist engineering team in issuing project documents to the customer and fabricator

• Review drawings of other team members to ensure accuracy

• Understand project timelines to meet deadlines

• Become a key part of the project workflow in the engineering department

• Attend internal meetings as required

• Participate in and support product development initiatives

• Perform other related duties as needed

 

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering, or equivalent

• 1-5 years of experience in a CAD-based field

• Experience with 3D modeling in CAD software (SolidEdge preferred, SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro/Engineer, Creo, NX, etc. acceptable) in both 3D and 2D environments

• Experience with 2D drawing in AutoCAD

• Preferred knowledge of piping, flanges, fittings & materials

• Good math skills

• Good time management skills

• Ability to be a team player

• Motivation to learn

• Quality driven

• Flexibility with workflow and the ability to work on multiple projects at once

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)

• Ability to demonstrate creativity and analytical skills in the application of our products

• Ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals

• Our team works from the office 3 days a week. For this role you are required to do the same. The other 2 days a week you can either work from home or in-office, based on your personal preferences.

Office Environment - Work Environment: constant mental and/or visual attention; the flow of work requires focused, detailed attention while working at a computer monitor.

• Typing, sitting, standing, walking.

• The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of the job.
